I just happend to stumble across this great website the other day, I dont know how I have missed finding it for so long. I recognised some of the members names from another aviation site I read, although I havent posted on in years.

 

Anyway, about me. I am Wayne from Penrith NSW. Although I have never worked in the aviation industry, I have been a keen enthusiast for as long as I can remember. I enjoy an arvo at the airport with my kids, although tolls and the high cost of fuel mean I dont get out as often as I would like. I am looking forward to being a member of this board, looks like you guys have created a good positive and respectful atmosphear on here.

I can totally relate to you spending time out at the airport with the kids - makes a great day out. My wife and I often pack up the car with a picnic and chairs and camera and we sit and laugh and talk and watch the planes together with the kids...nothing like it! =D>

 

Join in where ever you like Wayne and post away as you feel comfortable - we are a very friendly accepting lot here.

Hi Wayne! Yep you are right..this is a good welcoming place.

 

Love my airport "fix" too..like to get out there even for a short time whenever I pass through Melbourne..need the sight and the sound overhead to replenish my system. Nothing like the overhead roar on landing / takeooff and the sound of reverse thrust is there!
