Admin Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Just wondering if your aircraft was registered say 24-5000 do you radio Fife-Zero-Zero-Zero or could you say Fife-Tousand Just curious!
Ultralights Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 im not sure what the proper way would be, but i would be saying 5 thousand, make your calls quicker. and less room for error it would be difficult to say zero 3 times than say it 2 times.
hiperlight Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 In the context of a callsign the correct phonetics would be 'fife zero double zero' As an altitude, distance etc, it would be expressed as 'fife tousand' Bruce
Admin Posted June 13, 2006 Author Posted June 13, 2006 Thanks Guys, as I said I was just curious as the rego 24-5000 will probably come up early next year and who would want that if they have to say 3 zero's:confused:
