Guest Redair Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Greetings each, want to try something silly? OK, so you have FSX, pick an airfield, any airfield, then select the Piper Cub, next, set the advanced weather, to 40knt wind straight down the active runway... Let the brakes off and go!! It takes a bit of fine tuning with the throttle, but you can make the Cub hover. Redair.
Yenn Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Better than that I flew a C150 at Grovedale in Victoria, wind speed unknown but I landed vertically and my instructor then went up and landed backwards.
Ross Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Some years ago at Brobenah Airfield (Leeton) during a Gliding comp I saw a large cardboard box take off vertically and disappear vertically into the blue sky. Regards
Guest pelorus32 Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Years ago I was in a Rallye that was slowed down to fly backwards and then landed vertically. Good fun. Regards Mike
