Hello everybody I am from Canada , I am I pilot but non commercial pilot and I am interested in remote locations. I am running a fairly new website call www.flyyouin.com basically porthole for people who like to travel to remote locations and adventures by using air charter bush pilot style transportation. I am always on the look out for bush pilot companies basically not your typical run in the mill airline lol . but at the same time I am interested in general aviation chat and places to go in Australia. There is just one thing that I am wondering about. You hear a lot of Canadians saying ahh I really would like to go to Australia yeah down under you know . I was wonder what is the number one place an Australian person would say where they would like to visit.

Thanks

Tracy

Welcome to the forums Tracy 001_smile.gif.2cb759f06c4678ed4757932a99c02fa0.gif I would recommend visiting outback Australia (unless you like big cities). Somewhere like Alice Springs or Ayers Rock. There you can see the true beauty of the country but watch out for kanagaroos on the airstrips

Welcome aboard Tracy...There's so much to see in Australia , like Canada I guess , and remoteness is common to both countries . I love Queensland , particularly around the Whitsunday Coast . There is a great airstrip at Shute Harbour which I've visited a few times ... A bit of a handful on a windy day though ... Once again good to have you on the site ..

Gday and welcome Tracey. My eldest girl is near Calgary driving husky sleds! Nice to have you join us.

Dog sledding cool. She must be having a time of her life. there is a lot of that in northern Quebec and I do believe the sport is growing. I see more advertising on dog sledding trips and adventures or even if you want to try it out for a day. We should bring some kangaroos over here and fit them with jackets and snow shoes and see how they would be pulling a sled...: )
