Guest Mrt Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Hello everybody I am from Canada , I am I pilot but non commercial pilot and I am interested in remote locations. I am running a fairly new website call www.flyyouin.com basically porthole for people who like to travel to remote locations and adventures by using air charter bush pilot style transportation. I am always on the look out for bush pilot companies basically not your typical run in the mill airline lol . but at the same time I am interested in general aviation chat and places to go in Australia. There is just one thing that I am wondering about. You hear a lot of Canadians saying ahh I really would like to go to Australia yeah down under you know . I was wonder what is the number one place an Australian person would say where they would like to visit. Thanks Tracy http://www.flyyouin.com ps what a kick a@# site really nice:biggrin:
Guest Darren Masters Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Welcome to the forums Tracy I would recommend visiting outback Australia (unless you like big cities). Somewhere like Alice Springs or Ayers Rock. There you can see the true beauty of the country but watch out for kanagaroos on the airstrips
Guest OzChris Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Hey Tracy - WELCOME! I checked out your site - NICE one :]
Guest David C Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Welcome aboard Tracy...There's so much to see in Australia , like Canada I guess , and remoteness is common to both countries . I love Queensland , particularly around the Whitsunday Coast . There is a great airstrip at Shute Harbour which I've visited a few times ... A bit of a handful on a windy day though ... Once again good to have you on the site .. Dave C
Guest Dean747 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Welcome abord. Great to have another international member.
Guest Chainsaw Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Gday and welcome Tracey. My eldest girl is near Calgary driving husky sleds! Nice to have you join us.
Guest Mrt Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Dog sledding cool. She must be having a time of her life. there is a lot of that in northern Quebec and I do believe the sport is growing. I see more advertising on dog sledding trips and adventures or even if you want to try it out for a day. We should bring some kangaroos over here and fit them with jackets and snow shoes and see how they would be pulling a sled...: )
