Scottw Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Hi all here is a post event press release for the 2010 David Hack Classic Meet Aviation theme - Flight Training Experiance Fly-in incorporating the Gathering of the Harvards and Wirraways I wish to thank all those who came along and supported the event this year. Such support is never taken for granted. We certainly had some nice aircraft along this year with a lovely gathering of warbirds and wish to extend a very big thank you to these operators. Temora Aviation Museum Warbird Aviation Adventure Flights Caboolture Warbird Museum/Sandora + syndicate groups Aerotec QLD along with the private operators of those lovely machines. The list included- 2 Wirraways VH-BFF VH-MFW 5 Harvards (T-6 and SNJ) VH-NAG(SNJ-4) VH-TEX VH-SNJ VH-PEM VH-LNT 6 T-28 Trojans VH-ZUC VH-ZUK VH-ZSH VH-DPT VH-FNO VH-TRO To this list are other types including(but not restricted to) Fiat G-59-4B YAK 52s Yak18T Nanchangs Winjeel Stearman CT/4As DH-84 Dragon Tiger Moths and Chippys And the Army contribution Kiowa and Blackhawk and various other classic, GA and sport aircraft types All these appearing aircraft made a major contribution to the sucess of this charity event so I can not express enough my appreciation to the above operators of these aircraft. And wish to also extend this to all the vollunteers as well, from those working and looking after the airside to the setting up and pull down crews and all those involved in the catering. Massive job for the time frame alocated. And thank you to the local Regional Council too, who have been very accomodating and for next year we are looking to make big changes with the set-up too, especially getting the aircraft closer to the public. Which I know wasn't the easiest this year, however we had guidelines to work to. just a matter of getting the balance right. But there will be changes to the set-up. And yes from all post event reports looks very positive for the event to be run next year. Oh and not to mention the 576 vehicles which were displayed as well. vehicles from 1908 through to the some of the newer Lamboghini's (which spit had already been kind to mention) and all the other vintage classic types one could imagine. A very special and unique event. Kind regards Scott
