Guest Buggs Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 G/Day All I was actually looking for Aussie aviation news yesterday and came across your site and it is a real pleasant surprise, unlike most of you I am not a pilot or work in the aviation industry I am just asilly old bugger who has watched planes looking through fences and observation decks when I get a chance, but will look forward to talking with some of you now and then and learning from you all. Cheers to All Buggs alias Des:smile:
Guest Chainsaw Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Gday Des, Welcome aboard. You are not the only silly ol bugger here. I am willing to bet that you just as wise as the rest of us in loving those metal things. Where are you located? What sort of plane stuff gets you going?
Guest Buggs Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Hi Chainsaw I am in Canberra but don't hold that against me, I love most modern aircraft and I am starting to get a real feel for the old warbirds and old prop liners in the last few years. I grew up in the Upper Hunter and had to settle for watching the big birds go over high, joined the bank at 18 and started to travel and just got caught up watching all planes as much as I could. Notice we both belong to a very good year. Buggs
Guest Darren Masters Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 G'day Des and welcome to TAA. Good to have you here Bet it's cooling off down Canberra? I had some good times there
