Guest Glenn Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 From an email circulated to members of my local Aero Club from Carol Richards I am writing to alert you to a notification of a proposed constitutional change that will appear in the August magazine. Basically, NSW, Victoria and Queensland all have the same approximate number of members, however, QLD has 4 reps on the Board,. NSW 3 and Victoria 2. So the committee designed a solution that would see QLD lose one rep and Victoria gain one rep, making all 3 states equal, as the membership in all 3 states are approximately the same. There are only 2 ways to have a say in this. 1. Either Attend the AGM in Canberra on Sept 17 at 1pm OR. 2. Assign me as your proxy – as I will be attending the meeting as your Board member. You will get a proxy form and envelope in the magazine. Put your name, your address in the space provided. Put my name: Carol Richards and my address: 38 Tenefts st Temora, NSW 2666 in the space provided. Delete either: IN FAVOUR or AGAINST Sign and date at the bottom. Return the form to the RA-Aus office in the envelope provided. I will then be bound to vote in the way you have directed. This is an important issue. Please participate. Take care. Happy flying. Cheers, Carol Richards, Board Member for NSW/ACT
Guest Michael Coates Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 What about the pure size of the states ??? Qld is much bigger than Vic and NSW put together ?? Regardless its hard to speak to any board members when you need to anyway.
