Guest mwin Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I am looking forward to getting to know some of you guys and learning more about aviation Down Under. Alaska is about as opposite from Australia as you can get however they both share the same free spirit and independence that comes when fighting the elements. I work up here for Everts Air Cargo. We are the largest operator of radial engines in the world, that is what I am told however I can't confirm it. Our fleet consists of approximately 10 DC6's and 3 C46's. I work mainly on the big R-2800 engines that power both these beautiful aircraft. I never tire of hearing the rumble of these powerful engines. Work often stops for a second or two every time one of our birds roll down the runway to carry out its mission. Did I mention I love my job? So any Sixes working in Australia? I'll get around to posting some picture soon. Mark
