Scotty 1 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 I intend to do a course in unusual attitudes recovery and came accross the preview of this book by Rich Stowell. Does anyone know if it is worth trying to get a copy or of any other books worth reading? http://books.google.com.au/books?id=_4nGtx-_jHUC&pg=PA49&lpg=PA49&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=true Cheers Scotty

djpacro Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 ... by Rich Stowell. Does anyone know if it is worth trying to get a copy ... Everything by Rich is first class. I'd consider the DVD so you see and hear Rich in a live briefing.

Guest BlackRod Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Scotty, Are you doing this with Phil Unicomb at YMND? He's probably the best in the business. And he knows how much it hurts if you can't extract yourself from an "unusual attitude".

And he knows how much it hurts if you can't extract yourself from an "unusual attitude". Don, I now have the book and DVD's from Rich Stowell as DJP suggested and as I work my way through these they have highlighted the need for this type of instruction to be undertaken with the right person and in the right type of plane. I have not decided who I will train with yet, but I have rejected a few who claim they can train me. Phil and Mr DJP are on my short list but I have not approach them yet. Cheers Scotty
djpacro Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Kempsey is not that far from Phil (and I have no disagreement with BlackRod). I should've also mentioned the free online resources at http://www.apstraining.com/training-corner/in-flight-videos/ I don't think it is a secret that their CEO, Paul BJ Ransbury visited us recently. Edited to add - definitely not a secret as it is in a recent newsletter at http://www.apstraining.com/2012/china-southern-upset-recovery-seminar-in-zhuhai/
