red750 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 An F-111 has been moved from Amberley to a museum "south of Sydney" according to TV reports. .
Guest David C Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Thats correct .. F111C , serial number A8-109 finally arrived at Wollongong Airport today after completing a 3 day trip from Amberley, passing by Cambelltown at approx 3am . It will be displayed as a static exhibit by HARS . It was the last operational F111 in the World , and the very last one to fly ..A team of RAAF personel together with HARS staff will reassemble the aircraft before it is shown to the public .. Dave C
siznaudin Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Good info: we got to "do" the HARS collection a couple of years ago: fantastic, and the guides are absolutely super ambassadors for the establishment. Anyone who hasn't been there ... go!
Robbo Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 would only take 20 mins max :) Probably needed same amount of few as the truck
