red750 Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 This video was uploaded by what I believe is a Mexican contributor, but was filmed in Australia, and includes a departure by an RAAF NH90 and a RAN Seahawk and some scenes of an RFDS KingAir, but is mainly about an Eriksson Air Crane. No indication of where it was filmed. Someone may recognise the countryside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqWTTzELc6s . 1
red750 Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 And another Air Crane video shot in Greece, Australia and the US. Scenes at Essendon airport, Melbourne dockland (container ship), Sydney Harbour Bridge and Phillip Island motor cycle races.
Guest David C Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Peter ... The video on your first post was filmed at Illawarra Regional Airport , Wollongong . I guess it was filmed at one of the Wings Over Illawarra air shows . Nice video . Dave C
Guest just Mal Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Also did you notice the crew that have to climb up and set the mixture at start up? Can't be done in flight. lastly they can dump 7 ton of water but not on full fuel.
Guest DWB Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 They obviously can get OH & S exemptions too. Any other industry & those guys clambering over it would be required to have harnesses, hook ups or scaffolding. Thank god common sense still prevails in one industry.
