Russ Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Am reading in the latest ersa, that non VH aircraft must have written permission to access Proserpine airport. Was planning on refueling there, but now ???

Jaba-who Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 What type of fuel are you after? Proserpine only has turbine fuel. Why not go to mackay. Avgas in swipe bowser. Or Shute harbour.

Guest ozzie Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 When I was groundsman at Shute around 15 years ago I used to get my ass kicked for 'forgetting' to charge the landing fee when pilots came in for fuel. Prior permission means they still may want 100hrs minimum as the place can be a handful in winds. Should be a lot better now with the new strip especially in the wet. Good place to stopover for the night. Major now works there so will know all the tricks. Beware Prosvegas, crazy security gun happy nutter works there.
