rankamateur Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Japan will suspend the whaling fleet long before 2050 simply because the old Japanese who eat whale meat are dying out and the younger Japanese have a taste for beef(fatty as they like it) so the chilled whale meat stocks they have now would probrably see them out.

That's sad, whales are real tasty... maybe they will whale-farm. Love to be able to walk into Maccas and grab a McWhale.

Yenn Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Greenpeace managed to get whaling stopped in 2018. Since then they have been campaining against farming sheep and cattle for meat, that is after their campaign against chicken, turkey and pig eat was succesful, in 2031. 1
