Fred woke up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet to spend a penny, & as he was star gazing out of the toilet window, he suddenly noticed a burglar in the neighbours front yard trying to force open a window. The disturbance must have woken the neighbour because the next thing Fred noticed was that the neighbour wacked the burglar over the head with a shovel knocking him out instantly.

 

Fred went back to bed after this but was shaking from what he had witnessed, & the shaking woke Betty his wife. Betty asked Fred why was he shaking. Fred told Betty "You'll never believe what I have just seen. The neighbour next door wacked a burglar over the head with a shovel & knocked him out & furthermore the neighbour used my bl--dy shovel which he hasn't returned".
