Due to a land sale involving the lower half of the property, the following changes need to be noted to those who visit the field.

The lower 09/27 runway (long ex-wartime strip) may occasionally be occupied by stock. Although this runway has ample length for most aircraft to still operate on , it is recommend a full check for stock on the runway be made prior to landing.

Both 18/36 and the 04/11 runways now have fences running either side, on the lower half of their lengths (southern ends). 18/36 remains unchanged except for the fences, however 04/11 has had it length extended at the western end, and is also to be increased at the eastern end.

Additionally this time of the year after rain, please watch for washouts on all runways, but particulary on the uphill end of 18/36. Also it's ant hill building time for the whiteants, and these can appear on all runways without warning, seemingly overnight !.......

It is strongly advised for all users to check all runway conditions prior to use..........................Maj....014_spot_on.gif.1f3bdf64e5eb969e67a583c9d350cd1f.gif

Yes, and following on from the 'Announcement' thread, that's another thing the southerners can't come to terms with - our boomerang shaped runways hihi.gif.d5c5e0b8ab31cd6089b5f4a466fcfda3.gif
