David Isaac Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Steve, the only category you could build a twin ultralight here is the 95-10 category, it would have to be under 300Kg MTOW as you know.
Guest ozzie Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 it may have started off single engine. engines are 160cc or about. history proves that rules often bent to accommodate. No date on this either.
M61A1 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 There was one built by John Stevenson (not sure of spelling), it was on the front cover of the AUF mag once. Powered by 2 JPX outboard engines mounted push/pull on the centreline. Had handmade aluminium props. Yes, was 95.10, also had a system of roll control that changed the AoA differentially of each wing. Was on the North side of Brisbane, if I remember correctly. The photo does look like John's aircraft.
M61A1 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 A friend of mine was killed (the usual low/slow turning final stall) flying one (single engine robin 440) out on the plains. Called a "stick insect".
