Yes, nice machine. Not the most characterful or engaging aircraft as such, but very comfortable. You have very few distractions because of the comfort, you can spend long hours in that reclined seat and airconditioned cabin. Panel and kit, is like a scaled down version of an Airbus A320. 1 1 2 1
facthunter Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 You can get pretty hot in a low wing in bright sunlight. Nev 1 1
Marty_d Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Looks like some pretty serious shading on the top of the canopy. Guess the A/C helps too. 1
NT5224 Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Certainly a fine looking aircraft -the glass cockpit, reclining seats and aircon sound great! Its a four seater? Unfortunately, I'm not sure it would be much use operating out of my bush strip. But i can dream... Alan
RossK Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 Did a hamburger run to Apollo Bay yesterday. YLIL - YTYA - PIPS - YAPO and return stopping at YTYA for fuel. 12
NT5224 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 So I was just planning a quick hop over to Kununurra -and decided the weather looked a bit dubious. So I decided to pass. 😂 Alan 2
NT5224 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 A few showers our way to freshen this up. But the only thing flying on my airstrip at the moment is my boys Frisbee. 8 1
Blueadventures Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Had a nice fly around the local area for an hour today. Great weather for a change. 9
Bennyboy320 Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Just returned to Caboolture after a nice but bumpy trip to Clifton & return, amazing how lush & green the valley looks after all the rain, thanks again Trevor for your hospitality, excellent grass strip & first class facilities, definitely a counter lunch in town next visit. 8
Blueadventures Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Visited the hard sand today for a fire place breakfast. Nice weather and tide out for the full moon. A Nynja, two Lightwings and a Savannah. 10 1 1
cscotthendry Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 (edited) Took a good mate up for a fly. He goes in Tuesday to have an op on his thyroid. Apart from being a good friend and thus deserving a fly, I wanted to take his mind of the upcoming op for a little while at least. https://youtu.be/niAKRiBYnjQ Edited November 21, 2021 by cscotthendry 11

Warwick is special to me- I was born there. Years ago when I needed to fly in for a family gathering, I phoned around and a local pilot lent me his hangar for the weekend; a great kindness for a stranger. 5
F10 Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Some nice posts! Well my last “flight” was amusing, I left for Yarram a bit late in the day (this last Sunday) so arrived, had the traditional hot chocolate from the clubhouse coffee machine then had a good natter to Jim, he showed me one of the club members Cessna180 he’s just purchased, very nice! Then opened hangar. A few weeks ago on pulling out the choke to start the Rotax, the black plastic knob must have fatigued because a quarter section of the knob broke off. I bought some black putty, which I used to re-build or build back up, the broken knob section. Then realised I would have to wait for it to dry! So back to the clubhouse for a Pepsi and another chat to Jim and Bernie…Jim had a bloke with him, who years back worked for Vacume Oil and had supplied fuel to East Gippsland airfields from back in the 1950s. Then, back at the hangar, thought, by the time I get the dust covers off, fold the wings out, after manoeuvring out the hangar…re-fuel then the reverse process on returning…so in the end drove home, but still having enjoyed the day! 😌 Gotta love “flying” for fun! 5
Thruster88 Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Flew over to Temora on Sunday to pickup RFguy. Caught up with the RV's previous owner and admired his new machine, naturally another RV. Lots of very wet paddocks that are ready to harvest, it is a little concerning. 8
kiwiaviator Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 A big couple of days flying to Broken Hill via Kalgoorlie, Forrest and Ceduna. 2700 kms and nearly 14 hours in the air. It’s been busy getting the aircraft ready with scheduled servicing, then a weather window opened so I jumped at it. The hospitality from the Forrest airport managers Gary and Miriam was amazing. Great accommodation, meals and company. The history is incredible as well https://www.goodall.com.au/.../forres.../forrestairport.html. Now I’m waiting for the weather to improve over QLD which is opening borders next Monday. 11

RossK Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Flew up to Tocumwal on Saturday afternoon, walked into town and had dinner at the Farmers Arms Hotel. The river is very full at the moment! Camped at Sportaviations campground at the airstrip. Had a great breakfast with the Murray Border Flying Club and a Coffee at "The Drome" cafe before heading home. 10
SGM Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 RossK, Your aircraft looks a bit like mine! Here was my recent flight near Lakes Entrance... an opportunity to see a rig I previous was involved with (years ago), and also to ask my son how long he thought "90 mile beach" was.. ("don't know") Steve 8 1
waraton Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 My 15yo son volunteered to help in the search for a man who was lost South of Tibooburra. He logged 6 hours flight time, It was unpleasant in the air, at 35c on the ground it must have been horrendous for the missing man who was found safe around midday. Pretty unforgiving country to be lost on foot in. Photos taken enroute to the search area. 7 1 1
Flightrite Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Lost on foot out there......one has to ask, WTF?
