Marty_d
I'm sorry......I've never heard anything with 3 cylinders sound good. Where's the smiley raising a middle finger when you need it??
Guest Maj Millard
I've had thoughts of a DC-3, beautiful wing... Single or two place, wonder if it would be doable. Great concept. Problem is if you want to do something like this in the States, they'll fit you in somewhere, and even encourage you. Here your whistling Dixie, and even considered a little crazy...........Maj... facthunter
A full size Miles Gemini with 2 jab 6's would fly and sound nice. It's all wood. The original engines were 90 hp Blackburns? Newcastle Aero Club had two of them in the 50's.. Nev
pylon500
I have often thought of building a multi-engine 95.10 I too have thought a lot about a multi engine 95:10.... Looking at the attachment below, think Lazair, and cheap four stroke lawn mower engines.. Was going to have the front open like the original; Just open up, turn around and sit in it, pull the nose shut:roflmao: ps, I have flown a four engined Lazair in the past, the sound was awesome !! facthunter
Small chainsaw engines would have the power. You can drive off the chain drive clutch for an easy reduction. Cri Cri's I have seen have single cylinder go cart motors direct drive.. Nev
M61A1
You could do a P38 by creating something similar to Vampire, just put a 277 at the front of each boom and move the seating back a little to compensate for CoG. Oh, and make rounded vertical stabs instead of the swept ones.
Marty_d
Love the idea of the Gigant, but not a lot of ground clearance with the undercarriage if it's built to scale...
