Just the beginning

Hi guys,

 

After a very long wait, I've finally got my first flight in my pilots log.

 

I was in the Air Training Corps as a kid and went up in their Cessna 172 plenty of times, but never had the money to get started. I'm sure it's a common story, then married, then kids, and now I have made the decision and the time to finally get airborne.

 

You'll be seeing me round!

I'm learning at Lilydale. It's not too far from my place and a much nicer trip (and training area) than Essendon, which was just a little closer. Moorabin, Tyabb, etc were just too far to make them a practical option.

Hi Gav,

 

One of the guys I work with has an RV12 at Lilydale. You probably see it when you go out. It is white and maroon.
