feno Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Hi All, Not so flash with computers and not so flash at flying ...just yet...so please forgive me if I get things wrong. Forgiving me when I get things wrong is one of my instructors good traits! And, for sure there are many of them. I have now a massive 20 hours under my belt but I am very keen. My first flying experience in a little one was in the front seat of a Drifter flown by Wayne Fisher. Wow, what an experience. And one I will never forget. So now I am well on the way to piloting my own aircraft. Ian 2 1
ianwells Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Hi Ian, welcome I also learnt to fly with Wayne at Lismore. What a buzz that was. I still have a drifter and am putting some floats on it. Where are you based and what are you now learning to fly in???? Cheers Ian wells 1
keith.b Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Welcome Ian. Happy flying. Regards keith:plane:
feno Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Hello Kieth, As you do not have a plane at the moment what do like to fly when you can?
feno Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Hey Dr Zoos, I am learning on a Tecnam P93 Golf. For a person like myself with no previous flying experience I think it is a good choice of aircraft. I do not have unlimited funds but in the future I want to get a plane of my own. Any suggestions? 1

Ian Hi Ian, As you can see from my stuff up - I'm also not so great with computers and still trying to work out how I reply to people who have sent me welcome messages! Apart from a few hours of GA solo flying many years ago it's safe to say I'm about 20 hours of training behind you - just starting out on the recreational certificate. Good luck with your flying and I'll be keen to hear how things pan out. Congrats and welcome - Trevor
feno Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 Hello Trevor, Sorry about the late reply, ..life got in the way. I was going to ask you where you are learning but I saw that you are in Bunbury and I was in a Bunbury years ago, south of Perth, it was a beautiful place then.. What aircraft are you flying? I learn on a Tecnam P92 Golf. Good luck with it all. I am enjoying. But my lessons have tempoarily ceased at the moment as I am in Thailand for the next 6 weeks. Let me know how things pan out for you on your new venture. Ian.
dazza 38 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Just for clarity, Tecnam Golfs have the designation of P96 not P92.
feno Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 Thanks for that Dazza. Great someone is on the ball.
