ayavner Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Franco, he wasn't participating in the serious technical discussion, he was cracking a joke.If for example you are arguing that the chooks laid zero eggs today, it could be said you are arguing about "nothing" a play on words for zero. a big goose-egg, if you will...
farri Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 For those with an interest in the issue of leading 'zeros' of aircraft registration markings, here is the reply I received from RA-Aus. "Your aircraft falls under cao95.55 in the ops manual and as for the leading zero in your registration you are able to leave this off the registration and display it as 25-182 the zero would have been put on the response that was sent to you as we put the whole registration number as a reference. " Frank.
johnm Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 a technical adminstrative anomaly - a glitch between reference and computer, Farri not many years ago it was called an 'eror' ................ also sometimes referred to as a 'mistake'
Guest ozzie Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Finally after sending repeated emails every day i received a reply. Have a name to put to the scribbled signature. Yes they have misplaced all that info i sent them earlier. How so much of members aircraft information could go missing over the years makes me wonder how it could happen. The best information in the reply is that a company has been hired to scan every ones aircraft data so this sort of thing does not happen again.hope it will be backed up in a cloud or similar. I think we should really consider ourselves lucky. Imagine if a fire went through the building, be right up the creek. No doubt the pilot audit will produce similar to the aircraft audit. Looking forward to mine.
fly_tornado Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 You ever get the feeling one of the RAA staff is purposely shredding documents to keep themselves in a job?
M61A1 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Got my 95.10 renewal, last year it breezed through, this year, I need to supply a data sheet. I did speak on the phone with them, and apparently they do understand that some of the information about 2nd hand aircraft will not be available, and that will be Ok as long as you supply what data you can.
Guest ozzie Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 You ever get the feeling one of the RAA staff is purposely shredding documents to keep themselves in a job? Who knows what really goes on in Canberra. With all the reports on previous tech managers being unable to do their job without interference from execs maybe some skull duggery did go on. I just cannot put all this much lost paperwork down to just poor filing. Unless the past techies speak up then this will remain a mystery
fly_tornado Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 But papers going missing? That's not something that happens without human intervention
Downunder Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 But papers going missing? That's not something that happens without human intervention Maybe an employee who was soon to be an ex-employee:oops:
Keith Page Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 These ASIC cards and rego renewal must be a very complicated task, to achieve and have the correct outcome. The rego issue.. The quantity and quality of information is changing from year to year that is a know fact, just by judging the coments on this thread. Now wait.. The ASIC card has hicups too, yesterday(nearly two weeks later than the advised date) the new card arrived by post the card is dated 15/12/13.... a-n-d not the new photo the old photo on it, the printer got the blame well how did the printer have the old photo in their fingers, the old photo should not have been sent along with the new card. How do we survive? Regards Keith Page.
Keith Page Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I read somewhere and the GM was bragging how he was going to impliment good systems, I am wondering. One can not run about blaming others. Regards Keith Page.
