Just waiting on my ipad kneeboard from the clearprop shop, so will let you know!

If drifters had some more dashboard space, would definitely be thinking a ram mount for an ipad.

. CAAP 233-1(1) details rules regarding IPad mounting and in particular suction mounts .

Depends on if your flying a stick or yoke

I found flying a stick on the knee it was in the road and actually had to be removed or rolled out of the way where scratching of the screen was an issue due to stick movement on take off and landing. I have gone the ram mount and its fantastic. But i am considering using a mini and placing it on the dash with velcro. Mainly because with the ram mount it does inhibit some visibility. So they both have cons. The ram mount being its up in the road a bit of part of the view. The lap in the road of the stick.

I use a knee pad, I roll it over to the side for takeoff and landing , got it from spruce in the states, very good and no over heating issues,

That's what concerns me the heat issue and if you stick it on the canopy it will overheat

Did a trip through outback NSW/QLD recently, a mate in a baron had constant dramas with over heating, I didn't have any, I also had a vent directed at it aswell,
