Just thought I would let you know that we are going

 

ahead with the fly-in at the BP dam on 26-27th April

 

2014.

 

Thanks for the input from several members. All

 

positive feedback so we decided to move on this

 

date as it suited most people.

BJELKE PETERSON DAM WEEKEND FLY-IN

 

April 26-27 2014

 

Burnett Flyers are conducting their first weekend fly-in to a private strip on the edge of the BP dam. Lunch will be provided for on Saturday, camp oven dinner Saturday night plus breakfast on Sunday all for only $50 a head. You can fly in or drive in and camp under wing(no landing fees). There is also a grassed area amongst the gum trees to put up a tent. Here you can just relax, fish, swim or take a canoe for a paddle and the bird life is in abundance here. The airstrip is about 900 metres long. There will be ground crew and you can call them on 126.7 if you have trouble finding the strip. The strip is nearly north/south (18/36) and the southern end of the strip just beware of power lines off the far end if coming in low.
