cscotthendry Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 We actually logged the arrival of just over 150 aircraft . It was my wife doing the meet & greet of arriving aircraft. Thanks to all who attended, what a great weekend. Mick: Many thanks to you and your wife for adding to make the event even better. I didn't get a real close look at your model, but what I saw peeking around the dais during Matt's talk looked pretty speccy!
Graham Pukallus Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Here are the rest of the best shots over the weekend including a shot flying to Burrum Heads / Pacific Haven Airpark and a reminder that the Thangool Best Ever Flyin is on in 2 weeks (Queens Birthday Weekend) and needs everyone's support for Liza and her team. Ditto Scott and to all the Ninja flyers from Watts Bridge and see you next weekend for All In Flyin. Graham and Val 2
SDQDI Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 That VH-TMX has an interesting undercarriage set up. Is it just the angle of the shot or is it basically a nose and tail wheel with two small outrigger wheels?. 1

Mick Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 It was really pleasing to talk to lots of aviators that were visiting Old Station for the first time as well as many regulars. Our prize for the furthest distance flown went to a solo flyer in a RV. I also know of one couple that flew commercially from W.A. to be part of the fun. Mick:Many thanks to you and your wife for adding to make the event even better. I didn't get a real close look at your model, but what I saw peeking around the dais during Matt's talk looked pretty speccy! The part we play is only small, but we are proud to be even a small part of the great team that put on such a fantastic event.
Mick Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Our prize for the furthest distance flown went to a solo flyer in a RV. Oops! Forgot to say he had flown all the way from Adelaide

You might even be in the running for furthest distance flown. Following are some pics taken late Saturday arvo, shame the light was not a bit better. Remember my model is of Matt's race plane, the Extra pictured is the ride / display plane. 1 1

It is Europa mate. That is the way they are, one centre line fuselage wheel, a tail wheel and outrigger wheels, one under each wing.

Yenn Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The RV from Adelaide was one of 11 RV' at the weekend and he did the trip in 6 hours. Not bad going I think.
