Student Pilot Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Looks fantastic, I can see why they get lots of people to watch a spectacle like that. A poem from somewhere: Humble starling gracefully goes, waves of millions elegantly flow, nimble and dexterous , entrancingly sparkling, avian underrated our common day starling. 1 1
David Isaac Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 That is truly the best formation flying I have ever seen. They are obviously not Italian starlings ... LOL
Guernsey Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I would love to be able to be able to listen in to there radio calls. Alan.
farri Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 Simply beautiful! Kaz Brings tears to my eyes. I kid you not. Frank. 1
rankamateur Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Just like bait fish in the ocean, just as amazing! So much about communication we humans barely understand.
Old Koreelah Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 A beautiful spectacle of nature; until the blighters roost in their millions next to your house!
rrogerramjet Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Closer to home... I've actually seen this occur out in the Central Desert...amazing and totally overwhelming. enjoy Ramjet 3
Marty_d Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 How do they do it??? http://www.youtube.com/embed/88UVJpQGi88Frank. I don't know, but I bet there's an extremely stressed starling air traffic controller perched in front of his monitor. 3
MarcK Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I drove through a massive flock of budgies once in western QLD and trust me they are good but the amount of little coloured feather balls I had to remove from different parts of that hilux we can assume that Their decision making skills are lacking if they had not of taken off from the side of the road and decided to go across my path the death toll would have been 0 not somewhere around 1000000 like it was that day. And again they didn't seem to be able to navigate around my vehicle. M
Neil_S Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Both videos are stunning! So much we arrogant humans have yet to learn! Cheers Neil
