Butch Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 HI all, Just passed my Restricted RA licence last Saturday so I thought it would be good to join in your Forum. Doing my training in Bendigo in a Tecnam P92 with BFC flying School. Have wanted to fly for years and when I turned 55 (midlife crisis) went for an introduction flight. Loved it so much I signed up last Fathers Day and have flown most Saturdays since. I really enjoy reading peoples comments and questions, there's always something to learn, cheers Butch 1
farri Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 G`Day Butch and . I started flying Ultralights when the legal altitude was 500 feet AGL. Twin seat Ultralights and instruction in one was illegal. Cheers and all the best, Frank. 1
facthunter Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Welcome, and all the best for your future aviation exploits. Nev.
planedriver Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Butch. So much to learn on here from others. Congratulations on your milestone last Saturday. Alan
Butch Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Thank you all for the welcome. One of the things I like best about flying is that everyone involved in aviation are always there to encourage you. No one bags your mistakes or lack of knowledge, most are keen to help as all can relate back to when they were a naïve learner pilot like me, cheers Butch
planedriver Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Whats so good about this place, it dosen't matter what mistakes you make, while learning, you are probably not the first to make it, and the guys on here are happy to post about their discrepancies, so others can learn from their mistakes. You are in good company thats for sure. Kind Regards Planey
David Isaac Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 We all make mistakes buddy or have already made them. The wealth of experience on here is astounding. You would be surprised at the credentials of some of the posters, from ATPLs to LAMEs, engineering experts, fuel and oil engineering experts, to really nice ol farts like Franko ... Well done with the PC and welcome 1
