I need to decide on whether I want to build a 2 piece or 1 piece spar for the Starlet . Build space is not a problem. Just wondering why others chose the spar type they did. Thanks in advance.

There are two advantages to the double wing. The sizes of timber can be shorter, but as they can be laminated that is not a big deal. The double wing is easier to remove if you ever need to take the plane on the road.I have a one piece spar and have had it off once. It wasn't a really big job. Hang the plane from the engine mounts, remove the undercarriage, remove any shims or packing between spar and fuse, lower the plane so that the wing sits on an old mattress, remove the 2 half inch bolts and aileron cables, lift up the fuse and remove the wing. Easy, takes me about 2 hours.
