Old Koreelah Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Maybe someone can help. An off-roader group is planning a trip to locate an old aircraft wreck in the Barrington Tops area. They need much more info; all they have is http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/investigation_reports/1976/aair/aair197601498.aspx Any more info would be appreciated. (Yes, they will also keep an eye out for the plane that was never found.)
Bevan Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Check out http://vhmdx.blogspot.com.au Lots of information there about previous searches. Good luck! One of Australia's enduring aviation mysteries.
Guest ozzie Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Huge thread dedicated on pprune website. It will take you quite a few hours to go through it. This team has been searching for years. Many trips from east of Craven to west of Chitchester dam including sonar seaches. Lotsa luck.
