We will be there again this year; planning to do all three days (it was 4 days in 2013). Look for the tall (the talkative one) & short (the better looking) both drooling over planes & engines.

Interesting descriptions, Sue. Which one is you? Plenty of forumites turn up at fly-ins, but it's damned hard to identify them. One year there was talk of name tags, but maybe some people value their anonymity! I have often been accosted on my arrival by people recognising my little plane, but after we walk away we blend into the crowd.

The good looking one. Bear in mind he is now 7 years older, whereas I have not aged a day. We both went to Natfly 2003 - he noticed me there as the solitary female wandering the flight line, whereas I can't remember seeing him. I moved from Barcaldine to Springsure and ended up in the house across the road, 6 months after his wife died. His pick-up line; "I'm building a plane. Would you like to come and look?" Married 13 months later.

Ausfly has been cancelled for 2014. SAAA will hold a Fly-in, BBQ & trivia night with their AGM instead. See separate posting - Narromine Fly-in & BBQ.
