A pilot has died in hospital after being seriously injured in an ultra-light plane crash near Ivanhoe in far western New South Wales.

 

 

 

Emergency workers were called to a property on Balranald road, 50 kilometres south of the town, shortly after 7:30am. It is believed the 35-year-old was mustering cattle when he crashed.

Police from Barrier Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the crash and are being assisted by Recreational Aviation Australia, NSW Police Air Wing.

Young chap, with family, craft was a eurofox I'm told. Mishap on landing I'm hearing.

 

Sad day indeed, I hope his grieving family have good support.
