turboplanner Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 A huge issue in the eyes of Alan Jones, and an opportunity for some media to prickle a politician for saying something different now to what he said some time ago. I saw some of the Qld election campaign, including the announcement when I was travelling up to Mackay and back a couple of weeks ago, and it's quite different to the southern states, so I'm neutral on this - I've got a long history of working to eradicate corrupt officials, so if something wrong has been done let the chips fall where they may, however as an example of the way the general public might be reacting, I switched the recording off at the one minute mark out of boredom.
fly_tornado Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 its always hard listening to jones but very much worth the pain when he actually has some facts to deal with instead of opinion
Teckair Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 So AJ reckons CN is a liar, wow that is one for the books a politician telling a lie, how outrageous, it would never happen with the ALP.
fly_tornado Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Wellcamp now saving hundreds of lives every year http://www.thechronicle.com.au/news/flying-doctor-touches-down-wellcamp-airport/2519379/ I wonder what Alan Jones is going on about today?
fly_tornado Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Forget the monorail, Wagners are headed into deep space http://www.thechronicle.com.au/news/wellcamp-airport-offer-tourist-fights-space/2526836/
dazza 38 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I watched Landline on ABC today, as I do being a redneck. Ingham chickens are looking at flying organic chickens out of Welcamp to Asia. Good on them. 1
fly_tornado Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 If the ALP gets in, that means no asset sales, that means no cash from Joe which means no bypass, no bypass is going to do no good for the viability of Wellcamp.

Now common fly, we all know that Katter is a Labor bitch. God knows why, the bush hates Labor with a passion.
fly_tornado Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Joe said no asset sales, no money, even if the LNP get back in they wouldn't want to go ahead with the asset sales. You need to convince Joe to bend the rules and spend $1.8B in a safe seat
fly_tornado Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 http://www.thechronicle.com.au/news/first-aviation-students-touchdown-wellcamp-airport/2530142/ watch the video
dazza 38 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I was watching Landline on Sunday, they had a segment on Ingam Organic Chicken and they are looking at flying stock out of Wellcamp direct to the Asian markets. I hope they go well.
fly_tornado Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 The problem with that Daz if you are airfreighting stuff into Wellcamp you have to ship it through Toowoomba back to Brissy, much easier to ship the chooks to brissy and airfreight it out. 1
fly_tornado Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I am reading this as the Wagners must be getting really worried about the bypass not being built, they are doing this bit of astroturfing through the chronicle. Both Toowoomba seats and all the surrounding seats went to the LNP on the weekend, the ALP haven't made any commitment to fund the bypass, so they can drop it without losing any electoral backlash. http://www.thechronicle.com.au/news/heart-it-takes-family-build-airport/2530295/ and then follow it up by criticising the locals for not being passionate enough http://www.thechronicle.com.au/news/construction-magnate-says-regions-lack-passion/2530383/ Just goes to show you rich people can get things very very wrong.
Happyflyer Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Most get rich by taking risks. They are gamblers by nature. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Keith Page Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Google Morning F_T The way I see Welcamp. Welcamp is well out of the way of this cyclone which is going to visit us. The information which was handed to me just 10mins ago, Rockhampton is closed tomorrow. Welcamp will be open for ages. Have you found anything good for Welcamp. Regards KP.
fly_tornado Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Its very quiet at Wellcamp these days, would have thought that Virgin would jumped on board by now
fly_tornado Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Good news for wellcamp http://m.brisbanetimes.com.au/business/aviation/archerfield-airport-abandons-plans-for-regular-passenger-services-20150224-13nmbq.html
fly_tornado Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 This could be a big tourist attraction Keith http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/historic-toowoomba-dunny-to-return-to-rightful-place-brick-by-brick-20150224-13nsuz.html

And I mean every afternoon, no scheduled RTP visits after lunch.
