There was a History channel doco entitled "Worlds most extreme airports" & it listed the Hillary-Tenzing airport in Nepal as the worst. It is 460 metres long with a 12% gradient at an elevation of 9,200 feet. At the end of 06 is a mountain & at the end of 24 is a 2000 foot dropoff.

interesting video. no room for error there. but indeed i did notice he landed on the displaced threshold! I'm sure there was a good reason for that. thanks for sharing.

Elevation was around 5000ft, possibly a bit warm too. Displaced thresh hold may be for the approach angle/ glide slope for terrain clearance in crappy weather. be pretty easy to clean the gear off on that river bank too
