SDQDI Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 The good old pilliga a good place to go around. Extremely lucky that they got out of it as well as they did, hope they have a speedy recovery
turboplanner Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 A great example of how you can escape even in seemingly impossible conditions the branches on these trees are reasonably substantial) when you land at control speed It could have been much worse; if the Pilliga Man had got them we'd never know what happened. 1 1
Oscar Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Blimey. Looks like a pretty damn good effort at picking the 'softest spot' to hit.
biggles Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I usually get pretty high going over the Pilliga and even then steer toward the clear patches . Bob
Yenn Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I walked in the Pilliga about 50 years ago and there were straight roads at about 1 mile intervals running at 90deg toeach other. from memory they were just about wide enough for a wingspan, but not smooth.
