Chat is Back

By now you would have seen the bar across the bottom of your screen whether it is on a PC or on a tablet or mobile phone. This is the new Chat Bar where you can have instant one on one chats with other site users or join in to the general chat room.

 

Only logged in users can see and make use of the chat feature

 

Also when a site sponsor/advertiser is logged in you will see a little chat icon next to their name in the Supplier's Online box at the top of the right column. Clicking the icon will start an instant chat with that supplier/advertiser.

 

I will be adding a couple of extra buttons on the chat bar in due course that will provide some other little features for you to use...hope you enjoy and make use of the one on one instant chat between users on the site.

Has this knocked the floating 'Back to Top' button off?

Yes, but the 2nd button on the left of the chat bar is the back to the top button - No longer applicable

Ah, so if I hide chat there is no zoom to top button?

Ok, I have played around a bit with it and have made it that the "Back To Top" button is now displayed as before and the Chat Bar is finishes around 100px from the right corner.

Note, that if you hide the Chat Bar you will not be able to chat with anyone and no one will be able to chat with you. The Chat Bar also has a "Buddy" system that enables you to define "Buddies" that you can use plus you can block certain users that you do not wish to chat with...you will find many features with it so do some exploring and see what you can do with it
