pmccarthy Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I was lucky enough to attend a fly in and air display at Old Warden on Sunday, and saw some beautiful French Robin aircraft. Why don't we see more of them in Australia? Are they too expensive in A$ or is there a certification issue? I see there are a few GA models on the Aussie register. 1
kaz3g Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 The R2160 became licensed to Alpha in New Zealand. RVAC purchased one at least but there was some sort of stuff up along the way. Many of the Robins are aerobatic and are attractive as a trainer for that purpose. None of the French makers have done well with lighties here for whatever reason ...probably our Anglophilic heritage? Morane post WWII became Socata which produced the. Rallye, another neat little aeroplane but only a handful arrived out here. Kaz
