I think that would be a little unlikely but easier for some people in Sydney I am sure ;)

Air Force One now on Live Feed on Sydney Director 126.1

Pilot just replied to Sydney Tower on 120.5 "Gear down clear to land 16 Right". So I guess that's it folks. Hope you heard some of it. Now for the bedlam in downtown Sydney when he gets out of the airport. Still stacks of POLAIR activity if you wish to listen.

No problems at all. Glad you could hear some of it. He was very sneaky on the approach and I only managed to get him on Director 126.1 at the last min then onto Tower 120.5. Still it gives you an idea of what's happening here. Stacks of Police Airwing activity though! I run this feed all the time. Mostly departures to the West of Sydney. When there are special events such as this I will change frequencies to suit. Anyone have any other suggestions/requests feel free to ask, ie you have a loved one on a flight leaving/arriving YSSY we can always re-program the scanner if you wish to have a listen :)

Decca, I think curfew is 2300? He did come in about 2215 or so. SAM 2800 (Air Force 2) landed YSRI Richmond about 5 mins ago. POLAIR CITATIOn conducted a sweep low over our house a few mins before. Unfortunately Air Force 2 was in cloud on finals 068_angry.gif.cc43c1d4bb0cee77bfbafb87fd434239.gif

Thanks Darren, I couldn't remember what the curfew time was, it must be 8yrs since I operated into there, but I guess there will always be a different rule for Johnny's mates.

Regards, Decca.

George Bush is bringing a 700 strong crew of support people. Not a bad entourage if I do say so myself.

I wonder why Mr Bush has to bring his own Chief

Not a problem Nev. I will see if I can get some more a/c out of YSSY tomorrow. Apparently there is a Russian a/c there so we will see. I will post here if I do (and on my web page). ACARS you would like to know about? Well basically mate you need a scanner with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm plug from the back of the scanner into your line in in your pc, be able to monitor 131.550 MHZ (one of the ACARS frequencies) and then have an ACARS decoding package (software). I use AIRNAV ACARS decoder which can be a little expensive but you can download free ACARS decoders off the net. They are not as good but do the job. Just do a Google on ACARS decoders and a stack will come up. Monday Emma and I are actually buying the ADSB decoder which will track ADSB equipped a/c on a map and give speed, height and position details. We are thinking of streaming this on the net to you guys too but I will obviously have a delay in there for security reasons. Basically you will 'see' all the commercial/some military a/c flying around Sydney and up to 450km away from our place on a map. It's an interesting project I am about to start. There is a thread for this one on these forums: http://www.recreationalflying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3697

Stay tuned on there as I will update on there as it happens. This device comes from the USA via Fedex so if we order Monday it will not be here until maybe Wed then I have to work out how to stream on the net. That combined with a possible house move and I doubt I will have it streaming on the net until about 3wks from now ;)
