Admin Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Ok guys, let it all hang out with what you want for father's day! I will start with: 1. A Tim (the toolman) Taylor real man's Barbecue - with hot plates, hoods, side burners, real old fashion barby taste, chrome handles - you know a REAL MAN'S BARBY!!! 2. Upgrade software to Windows Vista and Office 2007 3. A HUGE Lemon Merangue (???) Pie - but just for me 4. A sleep in with breakfast in bed - bacon and eggs, a croissant, real coffee etc - emphasis on A SLEEP IN!!!
sain Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I'd avoid vista for a bit. Wait for the first service pack. It has many issues.
slartibartfast Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Your wants have a citrus flavour to them Ian. Both 2 and 3 involve huge lemons! For me - any present will do. I miss them. To get the Cheetah I had to forego presents for the next 390 years.
Admin Posted August 29, 2007 Author Posted August 29, 2007 - yeah I know but unfortunately I need to have a platform that a lot of my clients have for development and testing purposes - besides I believe Flight Sim looks a hell of a lot better on Vista - we are all a part of the World Wide Microsoft Testing Team, aren't we?

A couple of FA-18's over here on Sunday in formation would be good too that and the little plane below in my signature. I don't ask for much.

blueshed Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 So What Did Everyone Get? From here, my wife, son & mother in law departed for Melbourne at 6.42am, I slept till 8.30am, arose, changed daughters nappy, kak, had breakfast for both, flew to Murray Bridge in the Jab, had a BBQ lunch courtesy of MBLAFS, changed airplanes and flew back to Jamestown, what a great dads day spent with my 3 1/2 year old Daughter. It's hard to get her out of the machine when you get home! Hope everyone had a Day Just As Great! Cheers Guy
