I've had my sport pilot ticket for a little over a year and I am flying a CTLS (rental). I'm currently working on my PPL and should be ready for a check ride next month. I'm looking forward to renting the 172 and moving on to seaplane sometime next year.

Welcome to the forum, did you visit Oshkosh recently? It's been a long while since I went there and loved the nearby seaplane base. You have some beautiful lakes up that way so I can understand your desire to get into seaplanes.

Thanks guys! Wayne, I did get up to Oshkosh this year. Very very cool despite the 3 (yes 3) monster storms that came through during the day. Fortunately we drove up so we did not have any worries at the 6:30 PM departure when the last storm came through!
