The braces will be staying - it is the area where the motor will be mounted and yes you are right about the wings. It is a one off at this time. I don't think I could cope with building another one certainly not at the moment.

Sorry, I was a bit unclear - I mean are you building another frame aft of the existing one to support the wing rear spar - not another aircraft! (Regarding the angled braces I meant the two aft of the existing vertical frame, not the one in front of it... I assume that is the centre of the windshield and it's a conventional front mounted engine?)

Tell me to bugger off and mind my own business if you want! :-)

No it is going to be a pusher not a tractor motor. The two aft braces will eventually serve to provide a structure around the motor. The intention is to have foldable wings but have to sort prop clearance obviously dependent on number of blades.

That explains it... I thought there was a lot of structure in the rear fuselage if it was just the bottom skin of a conventional fuse, but obviously you need it as prop clearance doesn't allow you a lot of room. Sorry for the confusion.

All good - if I survive the building fiasco there will be several more pictures.

Somewhere around 9' I think - my memory is shot from info overload & my eyes are blinded by the constant flow of silver aluminium as I tirelessly slave away :-)

My tailplane - plastic to be removed, a bit of trimming and filing and taking out 3/32 holes to 1/8 and deburring and priming and hopefully some riveting.

No just yellow oxide primer & light reelection when I took the photo but maybe a basis for a colour scheme to come:smile:
