Looking for an Airstrip Near a Beach SE QLD

Hi There,

 

I was planning on landing at Tangalooma Airstrip tomorrow and spending some time on the picturesque Moreton Island beach, but for some reason I could not get PPR (they do not allow Jabs to land there for some reason). I was just wondering if there are any other airstrips within walking proximity of a beach, no further then around 80nm from YCAB? Preferably one that I do not need PPR for, and will accept UL landings.

What about South Stradbroke? Not sure how far from beach but it can't be too far!

Sorry that was supposed to be North Stradbroke but I did in the past land on a strip at the North end of South Stradbroke!

Try Orchid beach airstrip on Fraser Island. There is a landing fee (paid at shop) and is parallel to the beach.

There would be plentiful airstrips within a $25 cab fare of a beach... or do you want to walk?

Moreton looked rough last weekend, didn't get to close though
