the Mornington Peninsular is 2 hrs from Albury. Try Tyabb or Tooraddin( Great Restaurant) or Lilydale which is not so far . Although I see that it depends how fast you fly! Less Far? Benalla or Mangalore.....

Echuca Aero Club roast day third Sunday of every month all welcome.

Shepparton Aeroclub is open every day...tea, coffee and bikkies. 2 or 3 course meal on Saturday at 12:30 for just $10.

 

Nhil has a museum and is a fair bit further or Barwon Heads if you like the ocean as you can do a run back across the Heads to Westernport then back home.

Cobden Aero Club in Victoria's south west is always very welcoming. BBQ at airfield most Saturdays, the aero club has basic accommodation, free tea and coffee for the flying public as well as toilet facilities.
