facthunter
That would be about1/3rdof the total? Not particularly rare in Australia now. That's not a bad thing. but you have to be Captain Marvel these days to fly one when they were just a basic trainer, and you usually soloed in about 8 hours. You didn't have to worry about radio, and you had mostly all over fields, so that reduced the X wind worries. Nev
Soleair
Come on, Nev - where's the romance in you? I saw 4 Moths in formation flying over my place at about 1500' on Wednesday, headed in the direction of the start point. Now I know why. I do like Moths. facthunter
Yeah I like the sound a few Tigers flying along together. The fabric on the wings drums. They are not that expensive to buy either. Some of my most real experiences relate to flying them .Nev

kgwilson
There were 4 Tigers heading south yesterday & flew along the coast here. I wondered where they were going. It was a lovely sight & a nice sound.
Guest ozzie
They have been arriving in dribs and drabs all week. Some flying around in formation, possibly a few endorsements for the flight over the harbor. Always nice to see them flying around the area. Jabiru Phil
Two excited pilots and passengers dropped in here to refuel on their way to Maitland ex Hindmarsh Island on Wednesday. They mentioned some coming from WA. What an adventure! Phil.
sfGnome
So *that's* why there were so many flying over our place this afternoon! Very different sound to the normal Cessnas, Pipers, et al.
