Hey Kyle Communication , your knowledge is astounding...any idea when 2 Bose A20 noise cancelling headsets are plugged in , and ones batteries go flat we get horrendous pinging every few seconds back through the radio when transmitting...we now carry spare batteries, but its so sever we have to unplug one headset...

Just thought your knowledge may be helpful as im sure others may have similar issues

I use Lightspeed Zulu's and have no trouble at all into my Xcom. If you are going through batteries there must either be a fault in that headset or there is some wiring issue in the sockets to the radio. Easiest way is swap the headsets between the pilot and pax and see if the problem swaps. If it does then the issue is the headset if not then the issue is the wiring. What sort of radio are you hooked to and does it have a internal intercom or are you running into a external intercom. The pinging you get is probably some sort of audio feedback something in the audio path is either way high in level and hence its like standing infront of a amp with a microphone like at a carnival and getting feedback but the noise cancelling ANR is chopping the audio in and out due to it doing what it is trying to do with the ANR. A lot of things could be wrong but try swapping the headsets first and see if the problem swaps. Problems like these you have to attack only ever one change at a time.
