Hi Guys,

Doing some research on the Morgan Aeroworks Sierra and stumbled across here.

If anyone has pointers to reviews, flight reports and builders logs it would save me some searching.

A bit of history;

Been trying to get a license for 20+ years and finally got a M/L license here in NZ a few weeks ago.

Started an RV-8 build some years ago but it got sold after just about completing the airframe due to marital separation (search for "jpreou" on the Kitlog Pro website to see it). Looking to start a build again (unaccomplished goal, and all that). Have been looking at the Vans RV-12 and Zenith CH650. Have flown both and much prefer the -12 and then there is the well-known Vans quality and reputation, not to mention the four years I spent on the -8 build. So they are a known entity for me. Both aircraft can the registered and flown as microlight here in NZ.

I recently stumbled across the Sierra and I like the look of it. I've added it to the list. It also meets the M/L requirements over here.

I won't be starting a build for a few years yet (family and mortgage commitments) so I'm in research stage. I'll be in Sydney winter 2016 for a family wedding so I'll planning to shoot up to Taree on that trip.

Cheers

Welcome jpreou.

Click on Forums at the top of the page then scroll down to the section 'Ultralight and LSA Usergroups' and you will see listed 'Morgan Aeroworks". You will find a wealth of information.

All the best Alan Marriette.

Thanks, found that already and been trawling through. I did contact Morgan a while back and they sent some pics and info. I've emailed them again asking for a bit more info. I'm specifically looking to compare against the CH650 and RV-12 now, but it is certainly looking promising. Cheers
