kaz3g Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I'm VH registration. I did two entries into Alice and parked there for 8 nights. The ASA charges were covered by the "first $500" arrangement and the aerodrome charges via Avdata were pretty reasonable. Avdata for the whole trip was less than $100. Kaz
shags_j Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Just a note on something someone said earlier. If you ask for clearance through cta and we can issue it we are assuming that you are allowed. There is no way for atc to know if you are allowed in cta or not. Don't assume that atc letting you through is equal to an exemption on your ra permissions. 7
microman Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Here in NZ microlight pilots are required to go into a controlled airport (in our case Christchurch International) with an instructor in order to qualify for their "Advanced National" rating, and obviously a transponder is required. Pilots who plan to travel long distances need this rating, otherwise their distance from base is limited - I think to 25 miles. 1
