Yenn Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 CASA have today issued a notice of proposed legislation concerning Jabiru engined aircraft. What it says basically is that jab engined aircraft cannot be flown except in day VFR, nor over populous areas. Must be flown by a pilot, not student and cannot carry passengers. Much as i dislike this it is the result of too many engine failures and of Jabiru failing to do anything to preven the failures. This has at one blow, just about halved the value of the Jab fleet, as I cannot see anyone paying the asking prices for what is now a single seater, unless two pilots fly together, although it does allow a student and instructor. Talk to Lee Ungerman at CASA for any extra info. 1
Jabiru Phil Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Well it is only a draft at this stage. 1
