BigPete Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I seem to remember a Rotax engined Jabiru for sale at one time in the RAA magazine. :) Does anyone know how the aircraft performed with this motor? :;)3: Was it the 80Hp or 100Hp motor? regards
Mick Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I believe there are a few of these in central Qld. There was definitely one at Raglan this year.
Guest brentc Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 I can put you in touch with a J400 owner in OZ who has a 914 turbo and electric variable pitch prop installed.
Guest J430 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 And how well does it perform? Be an interesting thing to have a fly of!
Guest brentc Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 I'll give him a ring in the next day or so if I remember. I remember him telling Rod Stiff at Narroming a couple of years back that he would race him to 10,000ft !
storchy neil Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 dont tell jabiru aparantly very well
Guest bazz107 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Does anyone have any further Information on this, I would be very interested to see how they perform.
Yenn Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 I have seen one or two, but don't know the performance figures. One advantage is the ability to fit a variable prop with control through the output shaft of the gearbox. One at raglan had that fitted. There is also a taildragger with 912 engine, whose owner is very enthusiastic but the finish is very poor.
BigPete Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 No Mark - just curious ;) - and speaking of (curious that is) how's the aeroplane coming along - when is the official launch Would love to be there - what a buzz. :big_grin::big_grin: regards
