Deskpilot Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 This guy needs his license pulled. Utter stupid stunt no matter what 'skill' is involved. http://www.chonday.com/Videos/leajetlim3
facthunter Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Dunno. No more skill than doing a landing off an ILS in rain and gusty crosswinds at night, at much slower speeds. Nev
AJS71 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 No no no...CASA has said its fine as the aircraft is not powered by a Jabiru engine! Now that's a humorous effort Nev, wouldn't you agree?
facthunter Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Talking about religion, sexism, mateship , atheism is OK but jabiru's .... DON'T go there. Same as politics. No GO zone. As for evaluating humor, I've eliminated myself by poor performance, haven't I? . Actually I still cling to the idea I'm terribly funny but only very perceptive people can pick up on it Nev 1 2
AJS71 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I've heard of the F word and the C word, so now I have to include the J word? Ah the PC police are everywhere...nothing like taking a forum post and rapidly taking it off topic! Outstanding Nev what a team we make. Cheers Anthony
red750 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Chris Sperou does ribbon cuts at this height, inverted! And over solid ground. Admittedly, not in a Learjet.
David Isaac Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Actually we have to assume this was a controlled stunt otherwise it would simply be illegal, but not necessarily unsafe. I don't see any problem with it ... Straight and level ... high speed ... CavOK ... precision flying .... what's the issue? 9
Downunder Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Would have perhaps preferred it to go under a bridge.........
dazza 38 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Errr, what was wrong with it? And remember the first Lear jet was designed as a poor airforce fighter .
kaz3g Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I believe there was once a pilot who was pursued by a Regulator after rumours circulated that he had flown under a bridge. They dropped it after they realised the width of the span was less than the wingspan of the aircraft concerned. The bridge was apparently a lot higher than it was wide! Kaz 2
Ultralights Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 i remember living in a country where an adrenalin rush was still legal. i cant believe those saying it was stupid... crazy, yes, an massive rush, hell yes. its nothing military pilots dont do as part of their training... and still do as part of exercises.. Im just happy there are still countries around where you decide your level of risk tolerance, and not the legal society like it does here.. awesome video... 1

Kaz Yes Kaz. but the hilarious part is he did fly under it. It was alleged he kicked rudder and skidded through, just gave him enough clearance ... LOL
planesmaker Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I Would like to have a go!...................at the fly boards!
Deskpilot Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 I was aiming my comment more towards the fact that the guys holding up the wire were on very unstable platforms and if they moved, the pilot could be held responsible. Still, he chose to do it and I think that's damned irresponsible.
