red750 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Are there any Legend 540's in Australia? Just curious. http://www.ultralight-aircraft.org/advantages-ultralight 1
David Isaac Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Looks like Cessna copy, apart from the flap actuators.
red750 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 Cessna's strut is attached in front of the door. Happyflyer Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Empty weight 289kg. MTOW 472gk = Useful load of 183kg. Why bother with two seats? The weight is given for the 80 hp 912 and the performance for the 100 hp 912S, why? 2
red750 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 No idea why, I just copied the details from their website. However there seems to be a number of them flying, including a floatplane version, according to Google Images.
Downunder Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 MTOW is a deal breaker IMO. Yep, if it wasn't 600 I wouldn't even kick the tyres...... Compare that to a 6 cyl jab airframe which can be 750 vh rego. At 600 you know it's got good "redundant strength". Maybe the 472 is just for a particular market/country? Can't see how 183 empty is in anyway marketable..... 1
SDQDI Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Yeah with full fuel I'd have to fly naked and without charts/iPad, not sure how that ramp check would go......... But it does look pretty and maybe for a lighter person who mainly flew on their own or with a child it would be ok.
David Isaac Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 If its MTOW is so limited, I'd be worried about its structural adequacy. 2
Gnarly Gnu Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 But it does look pretty and maybe for a lighter person who mainly flew on their own or with a child it would be ok. A slab and the dog would max it out eh?
Downunder Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 A slab and the dog would max it out eh? I think you dog has a drinking problem..... 1
facthunter Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Width of cabin is not given. Pretty important dimension and cost? Nev 1
