finally got some proof of the broken leg

 

now if i can fly as well as i can break my leg......this will be a breeze

You must have been trying pretty hard.

 

Just remember to take the X-Ray with you before you try to board the 737.

It would appear that you don't do things by half measure, hop it heals well without any lasting problems.

WOW, a pretty cool spiral fracture, with a femoral nail..... Weve done a few of those at work, and its pretty cool to watch them being fixed...

 

TAP TAP with the hammer then zap with the x-ray and repeat...

 

You should not have too many problems with Scareport Insecurity, as the nail is made of titanium and so should not set off the magnetic field scanners (designed to pick up iron based material) but take the films with you anyway.

a new set of x-rays yesterday.....and frankly no different to the ones taken 4 weeks ago (THIS ONE)

 

so 5 months down the track and im still looking at another 5 mths at least .

 

but IT DON'T MATTER , CAUSE THE SPECIALIST GAVE ME THE "GO" for flying

These things always take a long time to fully heal .. Don't despair , as you say , at least you have the go ahead to fly . Hope to catch up with you soon at our The Oaks airstrip . Take care mate .

My old man had one like that when he had a motorbike accident.

 

He reconed that if he was to snuff it prematurely, at least he'd worth something for the scrap metal. So keep your chin up mate. things ain't as bad as you might think!!

Many years ago we had an instructor, Bert Johnson I think, from the Southern Cross Gliding Club in Sydney visit our Leeton Club with a group of glider pilots some of whom were trying to get their cross country endorsements.

 

 

 

One of his tests was to take a new pilot up and fly to Leeton about 5 or 6 km and then fly back over the strip and ask the student pilot where was the airstrip. A surprising number according to some of them had no idea where the field was.;)

 

 

 

I will not add any further comment except that I was not one of HIS students!

 

 

 

Well a feature of this fellow was that he had an artificial leg and pointed out that sometimes it was an advantage. He related how one day visiting somebody their dog raced out and bit his artificial leg or tin leg as he called it.

 

 

 

A very surprised dog was the result. :confused: The dog did not continue the attack.
